The samsung galaxy s22 may not be what you expected and i'll be sharing the details right after this [Music] the samsung galaxy s22 is packing some impressive specs all around but today we've got news from make sure to hit subscribe so you don't miss a thing so the first story of the day is that after plenty of news concerning the new exynos chip in the galaxy s22 we finally have some news on the north american version featuring the snapdragon system on chip evan glass tweeted to say that sm 8450 is qualcomm's new flagship system on chip the snapdragon 895 and that will of course be used in the galaxy s22 he states that it comes with an integrated x65 modem for 5g and it's fabricated on a 4 nanometer process he also lists the specs and we get a cairo 780 cpu using arm's new v9 architecture along with the adreno 730 gpu now no details of core arrangements were given but as always the new chipset is going to bring improved efficiencies and performance over the previous chip next up we've got news that the fold and the flip are going to be cheaper this time round which brings many to ask if the galaxy s22 is follow suit but unfortunately the answer is probably not the folder was already very expensive and as they find better ways to manufacture and also start mass producing more the price is able to come down when it comes to the galaxy s22 it's a premium phone with premium parts and i can't see the price structure changing the reason we now have three models in the s range is of course to accommodate for all these different budgets now next up we've got bad news on the in-display camera technology and especially for those of you waiting for the galaxy s22 so first of all ice universe tweeted to say that the under panel camera's transmittance was over 40 percent much higher than any other in display smartphone camera we've seen he then went on to say that although it is high and camera experience is close to that of ordinary cameras the under panel camera isn't perfect and it leaves a mosaic looking circle this is hardly surprising and it's going to look something like this we had in the axon but of course when it comes to samsung it's probably going to be a circle and it will be slightly improved so not terrible news but it may annoy some especially as people have been getting used to the punch hole although those that do like the punch or may be happy as it turns out the s22 may not have the under panel camera technology at all according to south korean blog naver their source claims that the production yield of the under panel cameras are actually too low for a phone as popular as the s22 and not only that but it doesn't meet the standards required an interesting story and of course it does make sense they make a lot more s22s in the fold and while not the most expensive anymore the s range is still the most popular flagship from samsung the fold is still reported to be using the upc technology but let's not forget that the fold is also coming with another punch hole camera on the external display so a bit of a shocker but it's only the first source that's reporting this at the moment so it could well be incorrect i'll let you know as soon as i hear more but it's not the first time we've been expecting an in-display cameras on the s range and they never came if it's not perfect then placing it in the s range is going to be too big of a risk for samsung and if they wanted to release with any uncertainties then i would expect samsung to trial it in their a range of phones that being said in display camera or no in display camera the galaxy s 22 is still going to be an incredible smartphone that's no doubt going to get the usual success for those excited for the smartphone we're now going to run through the expected specs design and the pricing to help you guys decide if this is the phone for you for my regular viewers you guys have already seen this so just jump to the next video but if you're new expecting a full hd plus resolution of 1080 by 2400 and of course a 120 hertz refresh rate when it comes to the selfie cameras we're unsure if it's gonna have a punch hole or an in-display selfie camera as this is of course the budget-friendly model so we usually find some compromises and we're also expecting a plastic back instead of glass on the rear it's likely to be a triple camera setup consisting of a wide an ultra wide and a telephoto camera it's going to be powered by either the exynos or the snapdragon system on chip and while we know the snapdragon chip is model number sm 8450 we don't know its exact name just yet it's likely to come with 8 gigs of ram and a choice of 128 or 256 storage and this will of course be ufs 3.1 it's likely to be powered by a 4 000 milliamp hour battery while fast charging has not been confirmed yet it's likely gonna be 25 watts it will of course have 5g wi-fi 6 and bluetooth 5.2 and it of course is going to run one ui4 based on android 12. and for those of you that are waiting for the s22 it's likely going to start from 850 now next up we've got the samsung galaxy s22 plus the galaxy s 22 plus is going to be coming with the largest 6.7 inch dynamic amoled display and going by previous releases it's likely to be a full hd plus resolution of 1080 by 2400 and it will have a 120 hertz ltpo display when it comes to the selfie cameras we don't know what sensors they're going to be using but it is likely to adopt the in-display selfie camera on the rear we're likely going to see another triple camera setup and again it's going to be a wide and ultra wide and a telephoto it's going to be powered by either the exynos or the snapdragon system on chip and again we don't know the exact name but the model number is sm 8450 it will likely start from eleven hundred dollars now finally we've got the most premium model the galaxy s22 ultra the galaxy s22 ultra is likely to come with a 6.8 inch dynamic amoled display but this time with a quad hd plus resolution of something like 1440 by 3200 it will of course be an ltpo panel with a 120 hertz refresh rate we're expecting a high screen to body ratio we're expecting an in-display selfie camera on the front when it comes to the rear we can no doubt expect a quad camera setup with the additional laser autofocus as with the smaller models we should see a wide and ultra wide and a telephoto but on the ultra we usually get a periscope camera with optical zoom it should be coming with a choice of 12 or 16 gigs of ram and also 128 256 512 and maybe even one terabyte storage it's likely to be powered by a 5 000 milliamp hour battery but again we don't know what fast charge it's going to offer it's going to have 5g wi-fi 6 bluetooth 5.2 and run on one ui4 based on android 12. and when it comes to the price unfortunately as we know it's going to be expensive we can pretty much expect a starting price of around thirteen hundred dollars so while leaks are still a little bit light on the ground we are starting to get a bit of information coming in and as we get closer to launch more and more details will come to light and as always i'll share them as they do but let me
